Ahhh there is something so perfect about Korean brand Low Classic. I’m not kidding when I say I’ve been perusing their website for the past 2.5 hours when I should really be doing work. I discovered it by chance at the Opening Ceremony sample sale in November where I proceeded to purchase a white trench (for 60 pounds!). I can’t remember the last time I found a brand so perfectly minimal, structured, and classic (pun intended). From it’s tailored jackets to it’s chunky shoes and accessories, Low Classic has really started to conquer Europe with its modern yet minimal scandi-esque approach to shades and clean lines. The unique brand was founded in 2009 in Seoul by Korean designers Lee Myeong Sin, Hwang Hyun Ji and Park Jin Sun. The most surprising fact about this brand is that it’s positioned at high-end high street prices (think COS or & Other Stories). I would say these are the closest brands in the UK in comparison to Low Classic’s approach. Disappointing as it is, they don’t ship to the UK yet, but they have had plans to launch their international e-commerce site since 2012, which means it shoooould happen soon (e-commerce sites take ages to sort)! Opening Ceremony sells a few pieces, so if you really can’t wait I’d recommend dropping by to see what they have. Stay tuned for my next post, which will feature the Low Classic jacket itself.
