This past weekend I not only had the chance to interview DJ Mikey Wilson, but also to put my photography skills to use with a little photoshoot over in East London. The Lovers Mixtape event is taking place this Saturday night at Coquine in South Kennsington. Mike’s inspiration for this mixtape is mainly a house music set featuring some of the most up and coming artists hitting the charts right now. The tape itself, which I had was lucky enough to get a sneak peak of, has lots of vocals and recognizable tracks, with a touch of pop-dubstep to end it off. I’m not going to lie, despite my hungover state on that Sunday afternoon, the mixtape tempted me to party all over again. Mike has been DJing since the age of 16 in Toronto, so it’s easy to say that he knows what he’s doing. That said, I am really looking forward to this Saturday night! This is an a link to one of his mash-up productions:
Here are some photos from this weekend. They definitely give you an idea of Mike’s charismatic, and fun personality!
In the electro world, some of Mike’s favorite DJs are Madeon, Afrojack, and Bingo Players. When it comes to House music he loves Nervo, Alesso, and Martin Solveig.
Mike’s all-time favourite DJ is A-Trak, who he had the pleasure of meeting which was a very inspiring experience for him!
Mike uses blogs as his main source of discovering music. He often uses Salacious Sound and ElectroTO.
HURRY! Get your tickets for Saturday here: http://loversmixtapereleaseparty.eventbrite.co.uk/.

HERE WE GO! Street Style Thursday, in celebration of the long weekend. What are all your plans? I’m starting mine off with some ridiculously good (anti-regime) food at Meat Liquor in Mayfair… i.e. burgers, chips, onion rings, chili dogs, and pretty much every type of fried goodness that comes to mind. YUM. Who doesn’t love a heart attack in a meal? Anyway, back to the style of the streets. Streets of Brick Lane that is (duh). Let’s look to these people for inspiration this weekend:
These guys are just kewl. Nuff said.
Blue hair. HELLO.
Happiness is a warm gun. Same with this killer coat.
Tom Ford sunnies & Levi’s acid wash denim shirt
This hair is cray.
All photos taken in Brick Lane.

Things have been so manic lately!! I am so sorry for not posting last week – the truth is, I was recovering from Oktoberfest & London Fashion Week & the Patagonia Store Launch. Wednesday we are hosting STORM breakfast in Mayfair and next week (along with my birthday) is press week! This is where we showcase all of our SS12 collections to the press (magazines, bloggers, newspapers, etc). Therefore we essentially need to turn our showroom upside down and inside out for the week – really hoping we don’t have to stay late! I have friends visiting this weekend and next for the big birthday bash!
Here are some photos.. streetstyle… mallorca… fashion week… etc

Off to Mallorca this weekend – I know, it’s not exactly surprising for my jetsetter self. I swear, being on this side of the world brings out the jetsetting alter ego in me. The truth is that I’m really just trying to prolong the summer as much as I can because the weather in London is rather depressing this time of year. We’re staying in an all-inclusive resort and I essentially plan on staying there the entire time (all of 2 days), lying on the beach and by the pool.
Speaking of this time of year, it’s fashion week next week! I say this with enthusiasm but the truth is fashion week isn’t all glamour and fun – it’s mostly stress, but hopefully I’ll be going to some cool events so I’ll keep you posted on that. Chase PR will be running the opening show Paul Costelloe so I’ll be working that next Friday. Working 1 show is much better than the 8 I worked in February….Exciting stuff!
A little taste of what I do.. Here is a work boot release I made yesterday! We send these to press when we want to push certain brands/product to be featured in magazines, newspapers, supplements, etc.
Wanting to be here.. now. Photocred: Fashiontoast (one of my favorite bloggers)
Waffle sweater & quilted leather
Brilliant combination – tight maxi with slit, contrasting beige oversize crop blouse & dessert boot runners
All black everything

This weekend my family was in town along with two of my friends so it was a fun filled weekend of good food, hosting, and of course some drinks in the evening.
Let’s talk Fall. Big trends for this season are the colors mustard and burgundy. This fall is going to be a colorful one! We’ll be seeing lots of burnt oranges and camels which carried over from Fall 10. A few other exciting things for this fall – Monki, H&M’s sister Swedish brand has just launched in Selfridges. I’ve been waiting years to go to a Monki store and now it’s finally at my fingertips. For all you Londoners, I highly suggest taking a gander at the website and seeing if it’s up your alley!
Remembering the good times in Barcelona…
Jean on shoulders & black sheer maxi – nice combination of summer & fall trends
I’ll have this child please

Trying to prolong summer as much as possible.. speaking of which.. can’t wait for my trip to Mallorca this weekend!

New flat. New flatmates. New job – talk about new beginnings! I just flew into London last Monday, only to start my new position at Chase PR the very next day. There is a stark contrast between Starworks and Chase, so it will take a bit of time to settle into my new position. That being said, I am very excited for whats to come. The future holds much excitement – in just a few short weeks my flatmates will be moving into our lovely Angel flat. This weekend my parents visit, next weekend I’m off to Mallorca for 2 days, and the following week is fashion week. At the end of that week my flatmates and I are going to Munich for Oktoberfest. Exciting stuff! Have I ever mentioned my favorite brand of all time, the Kooples? Well in case I haven’t – the Kooples bases all of their advertising on dressing couples with similar themes. Advertising aside, the clothing itself is amazing. This lovely French brand has shops in London (Carniby street and at Selfridges) and in Paris. See below, some of their ads along with some other cool streetstyle pics!
My favorite bag – Alexander Wang Rocco Duffle – by far best purchase i have ever made
Helmut Lang Neith Hobo bag
Striped knitted shorts
So simple, yet looks amazing – dying for a camera like this
Hair that’s out of this world
I know this is a bit random.. but I cannot stop thinking about this hamburger cake – any idea where I can get some?!

And the livin’s easy. I forgot how much I love Muskoka – and FYI, it’s one of the top summer destinations IN THE WORLD. I’m lucky to have been able to get a quick visit in at my friend’s cottage this weekend (pics to come soon!) For now, let’s talk Ibiza, one of my favouurite destinations in the world. If you go there, I would say to hit up Amnesia, Pacha, Privilege, and Space. Privilege is the biggest club in the world! My favourite night in Ibiza had to of been seeing Eric Prydz at Amnesia – he does this amazing cube show. Here are some Ibiza pics..
