So I know it’s been ages since I last posted, but I’ve decided to make a comeback, and just in time for London Fashion Week… which starts TOMORROW! Ahh i haven’t even written my diary for the weekend yet or printed half my tickets! I’ll be going to Issa, Fyodor Golan, Eugine Lin, Todd Lynn, John Rocha, PPQ, Michael Van Der Ham and moreeeee. So before I rant on about how I need to plan my days, here are some tips on how to get ready for LFW:

1. Plan your wardrobe

Let’s be honest, it’s less about what we see on the catwalks and all about who’s wearing what on the streets. Look to fashion favourites Christopher Kane and Peter Pilotto to make sure your look stands up to scrutiny.

2. Get some sleep

A day running around in heels followed by a night on the tiles is going to take it out of you. If you can’t stock up on your beauty sleep then at least invest in some of these beauty savers from Clinique and Origins.

3. Be a preen queen

A striking manicure is nearly as important as a head-turning outfit. Stay ahead of the curve with DIY nail kits from Ciaté and Nails Inc.

4. Pimp your technology

Whether you’re on an iPad or an android (I would personally choose iPad any day), your technology is key.  Give yours a fashion upgrade with quirky cases from Marc by Marc Jacobs and sleek covers by Lanvin.

On Monday evening I attended the Liberty X Kenzo event. Liberty and Kenzo came together to celebrate London Fashion Week and the arrival of the Kenzo AW12 collection in style. Their first floor atrium (where women’s contemporary usually sits) was transformed into a celebratory space with cucumber cocktails, DJs and live music. Blood Orange took the stage while creative directors of Kenzo hosted the party in collaboration with Liberty.

It’s been a busy weekend. From Antoni and Alison to Maria Grachvogel and Jasper Conran shows, fashion week is exhausting! I have the Mark Fast show tonight, Liberty x Kenzo event following, and then a Rosh Hashanah potluck at a friends. Tomorrow I’m going to Aminaka Wilmont and then I am done with shows. If I’m being honest, I tend to prefer the street style
at LFW to the shows. I just find it more relatable. Here are some iPhone pics I snapped from LFW:

What better way to kick off London Fashion Week than with the most anticipated collaboration of the year? British designer J.W. Anderson teams up with Topshop to launch a collection perfect for filling out your (and my) fashion week wardrobe. The collection is very much inspired by J.W. Anderson’s work to date, exemplifying an amalgamation of his signature styles. Animals, paisley and stripes are the object of the collection (and affection, clearly).
