With basically 24 hours to shop, I still managed to hit up all the stores on my wish list and discover more. I must say it was tight for time, but if you know where to go it’s very doable. I had to do a lot of research in advance to use my time wisely, but lucky for you I can point you in the right direction! Here are some recommendations from high street to contemporary stores. Personally, I like a mix of both. Stores are only open from 10am-5pm Saturdays and 12pm-4pm Sundays so keep this in mind when planning!
In terms of streets to wander, Bibliotheksgatan has Filippa K, Mrs H (only store where you can find my absolute favourite new brand Anine Bing), Malene Birger, aBCD, BLK Denim (favourite store EVER), Whyred, J. Lindenberg and T-shirt Store Stockholm. Nearby you’ll find 5th Avenue Shoe Repair (fairly new Swedish brand – very drapey and minimal) and of course the Acne Flagship store on Normalmstorg, where the term Stockholm Syndrome was derived. Drottningg street has Bik Bok (amazing high street store doing a collaboration with the Olsen twins now!), Samsoe Samsoe (Danish brand I introduced in my Copenhagen post), Weekday, and other high street stores. It’s worth noting that the Acne Archive outlet is a bit far out (on Torsgatan, but you can also find this incredible Swedish brand Carin Wester there), so go there first. It’s worth it, trust me, the archive has 70% off previous seasons and runway pieces/PR samples. Here are some pics of the stores above.
